Joey Roa is a seasoned delivery professional with over 20 years of experience in oil and gas, banking, and management consulting. His experience includes leading an agile transformation for a senior oil & gas producer, managing multi-million dollar programs, standing up and executing PMOs, and information technology strategy development. Joey is an honors graduate of the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business with concentrations in Management Information Systems and Finance. He maintains several credentials and continues to sharpen his saw thru active participation in thought leadership initiatives, contributing to industry conferences, writing on various business and technology topics, and serving as a post-secondary instructor on agile transformation. He lives in Calgary, Alberta, with his wife of over 15 years and teenage daughter.

He is currently the Director of Suncor's Digital Services Centre of Excellence, whose mandate is to introduce, develop, and mature new ways of working, including Agile delivery and DevOps automation. He has been at the forefront of introducing and training Suncor teams on agile approaches and roles (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Architecture Owner), and instantiating automation practices within DevOps capabilities.
